William J. Sweeney is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University and the Loyola School of Law.  He has served as legal counsel and an administrative hearing officer for the State of California.  He then served on the staff at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. 

During this time he has been a lawyer in private practice representing individuals and businesses.  He has handled hundreds of trials from short court trials to multi-day jury trials.  He is a member and past president of the Placer County Bar Association.  Mr. Sweeney is periodically appointed by the court to act as personal counsel for proposed conservatees.
